1. Material Preparation:

2. Ice Water Extraction:
   • The frozen cannabis material is then placed in a series of mesh bags, often called “bubble bags” or “hash bags,” which are specifically designed for ice water extraction.
   • Ice and water are added to the bags, and the mixture is agitated gently to separate the trichomes from the plant material.
3. Filtration:
   • As the mixture is agitated, the trichomes break off from the plant material and pass through the mesh bags, while the plant material remains behind.
   • The mixture of water and trichomes is then filtered through the mesh bags, with each bag containing progressively finer mesh to capture different grades of trichomes.
4. Collection:
   • After filtration, the collected material is often allowed to settle to separate the trichomes from the water.
   • The water is carefully drained or filtered out, leaving behind the concentrated trichomes, known as “hash.”
5. Drying:
   • The collected hash is then carefully spread out and allowed to dry thoroughly. This can be done using low heat or by air-drying, depending on preference.
